Foo Fighters are canceling their tour plans for 2025. That's according to Hellfest founder and director Ben Barbaud. During an interview with Le Parisien, Barbaud was asked why he booked Muse for the festival after previously saying he would never have them on the event's lineup.He said "Foo Fighters having cancelled their supper tour, Muse was called in as reinforcements." The news comes after Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl announced he would welcome a baby outside his marriage in September.The band cancelled their Soundside music festival appearance later that month.

KISS is reinventing their concerts with some state-of-the-art virtual technology. That’s at least what Gene Simmons recently claimed on “The Adam Carolla Show.” Partnering with Pophouse, the band is apparently creating a "jaw-dropping, never-before-seen" experience using motion capture done at Industrial Light & Magic to make sure their upcoming avatar concerts "feels and moves like us," the rocker shares. Simmons hyped up the tech, joking “Imagine a caveman goes to IMAX and beholds, experiences a 3D event. They just wouldn’t understand.” The rocker also said that he event would be incredibly immersive…like using virtual-reality glasses, without the glasses. The concerts, whenever they start to roll out, will feature fully controlled environments with sound, heat, and visuals, which will require specially designed venues.

The 2025 class of the Metal Hall of Fame has been announced, and it’s hard to find a name to argue with. The ninth annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd at the Anaheim House of Blues Grand Theater, with tickets just $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Mullen says he’s been diagnosed with dyscalculia, which is a form of dyslexia that affects numbers. “I’m numerically challenged,” Mullen said, adding, “So I can’t count, I can’t add.” That also makes keeping time on the drums a much harder job than it is for many others, with the U2 drummer saying, “counting bars is like climbing Everest.” Mullen is in the upcoming documentary “Left Behind,” which follows five mothers trying to establish the first public school for children with dyslexia in New York City. Rikki Rockett's Stolen Drum Kit Recovered, Arrest Made
Six custom drum kits owned by Poison drummer Rikki Rockett, stolen from Donn’s Drum Vault in Bellevue, Washington, have been recovered. They were also reportedly returned undamaged! The thieves were caught attempting to sell the kits at a Guitar Center, whose staff alerted police. Donn Bennett, the operator of Donn’s Drum Vault, praised the drum community and law enforcement, saying, “This is a big win for the good guys!” Bennett also expressed gratitude for the “cool and quick action” of the Guitar Center employees and the professionalism of the Burien Sheriff’s Department. The stolen kits were valued at $100-thousand altogether.
