An Alabama women has thwarted a burglary in her home -- by throwing a pot of scalding hot grease in the intruder's face.
Larondrick Macklin, who's accused of breaking into the unidentified woman's home, is recovering from "severe burns" in the wake of the incident, which happened last week in Decatur, police say. According to the victim, she heard the armed burglar entering her house and grabbed the nearest thing she could to defend herself.
Police transported Macklin to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for the burns, before charging him with first degree burglary and domestic violence. He's being held on a $300,000 bond.
