There are a bunch of talent competition on TV. American Idol is coming back, there is the Voice, J-Lo's World Dance competition, and then Howie Mandel's America's Got Talent. While I think a lot of the production, voting, and publicity is pre-scripted and perhaps rigged as is the case with the reality shows. There is not doubt that there is a lot of really talented people out there. I, on the other hand, have been told by many cannot sing. I'm the poster boy for tone-deaf. Last night flipping through the channel since the Cubs were blowing out their opponent, I landed on the end of AGT. This kid, who could be the kid next door was really amazing. I found out later he had been blind for most of his childhood which makes his performance even more remarkable. Check it out. It was a moving moment. Hope he does well in the coming shows.
