Here are my Top 5 listener requests for the week of May 1-5 on The Classic Cafe All-Request Lunch Hour on 100.7 The Fox(in no particular order; links to song videos below). LYNYRD SKYNYRD's "The Ballad of Curtis Loew" was released in 1974 off their "Second Helping" album and was performed only once on stage by the original band before the plane crash of 1977 that killed two band members and a backup singer; CHICAGO's "25 Or 6 To 4" was released off the "Chicago" album in 1970 peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 to become the group's first Top 5 US hit; GEORGE THOROGOOD's "Move It On Over" is the cover of a Hank Williams song and was the title track from the same album(an album that include NO original material) released in 1978 to become Thorogood's first major hit; REO SPEEDWAGON's "Ridin' The Storm Out" was the title track from the band's 3rd album released in 1973(it would take til 1981 before the album peaked at #171 on the Billboard 200 chart) and would only reach #94 on the Billboard Hot 100; SAMMY JOHN's "Chevy Van" was released off John's self-titled album peaking at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1975.  *Will your request make it on next week's Pitz Pick Top 5?
