Hi Fox Fans.
Well, I’ve been a member of the KKRQ, iHeartMeadia, family for almost 16 full years now (as of September 2017). I started my adventure with 100.7 The Fox in March of 2002 and I’ve honestly never loved any other job more. This is absolutely the most fun I’ve had while still wearing my thong, tube top and flip-flops with socks. The crew here is awesome and if I could tell some of the stories I would, but morals dictate I keep the racy stuff to myself. It’s been a freakin’ trip, to say the least!
I hail from a small town north of Boston Massachusetts called Peabody (pronounced Pee-Biddy). Bored with the constant traffic jams, testy population and over-industrialized crowded conditions I was seeking greener pastures and arrived in Heaven…er, uh, Iowa, in August of 1993 right after the big floods of ’93. The moment I arrived I KNEW I was home. 20 minute rush hours? Friendly people? Land for sale? You GOTTA be kidding me. I thought it was too good to be true! I half expected Jason Voorheese to step out of a corn field and hack me to bits. Nothing could be further from the truth. When my friends and family back east ask me what is in Iowa, I tell ‘em “Nuthin’! Don’t come out. I’ll come visit you!” We definitely don’t need more Boston Drivers around here!
I served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Carl Vinson, the CVN-70. We called her the “Chucky V” she treated us well on our West-Pac and it was an experience I’ll never forget. From that experience, I gained tons of knowledge, lots of friends and made a beautiful daughter. She’s my only kid, but she has given me 3 awesome grandkids and a lifetime of memories I wouldn’t trade for the universe. My passion for music has fueled my days here at KKRQ and the fans of 100.7 The Fox have made me feel RIGHT at home. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. I hope to bring joy and music to the masses for many years to come.
